NEMA DG’s to be sacked over alleged embezzlement of N33bn relief funds


The Houses of Representatives has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to relieve Mr. Mustapha Maihaja, who is the Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency, of his duties over the alleged mismanagement and embezzlement of “over N33 bn.”

After an ad hoc committee of the House investigated the operations of NEMA under Maihaja, they cameo the conclusion of recommending his sacking.

The House has just approved the recommendation of the panel, which is chaired by a member from Gombe State, Mr. Ali Isa.
