A former Commonwealth Light Weight Boxing champion, Peter Onyejiaka, has declared his intention to disown his second son, Chidi.
Onyejiaka, popularly called Mama Clay, hails from Nsokpo in Ogbaku in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.
He told Southern City that Chidi had formed the habit of beating him on daily basis following his refusal to sell an ancestral land and hand the money to him. He said, “He beats me like a child because I am old and can’t fight him back. This Chidi I am talking about has sold other property my other children bought for me. They (my children) had called and warned him, but he wouldn’t listen. All he only wants is for me to sell the land and give him the money.”
Onyejiaka, who is also the African Light Weight Boxing champion however, noted that he had reported the matter to the police, but that he (Chidi) would run away each time police came to arrest him.
He also said that Chidi had been given N200, 000 by his sister and bought tools for him with which to prosper in his technical job.
Onyejiaka said that Chidi wasted the money and abandoned the tools in Abuja after which he came back home.
“He claimed that he wanted to use the money to start up business. Each time I ask him what he wants to do, he will tell me that he wants to do business. As far as I am concerned, there is no business he wants to do.
“As a son, if he has business to do, he should gently come to the father and declare his intention and not to be beating me as a child,” he added.
He, therefore, called on law enforcement agents to come to his aid before he meets with his untimely death.
