HARRY Styles has never shied away from making bold and individual fashion statements.
From his floral trousers to bold print shirts, the One Direction favourite is most certainly a fan of big style moves.
However, Harry Styles, aged 23, may have gone one step too far this week after he stepped out in North London wearing a fur jacket.
Priced at £4585 from Yves Saint Laurent, the brown shearling jacket was not only really expensive, but raised some issues over animal skin.
The coat, featured on shopping website Farfetch, is described as: “Brown shearling buttoned short peacoat from Saint Laurent featuring notched lapels, a double breasted front fastening, two front pockets, long sleeves and a straight hem.
“Composition: Sheep Skin/Shearling 100per cent.”
And his fans have been left both infuriated and disappointed that Harry would wear such a thing.
One wrote: “Yo @Harry_Styles is your jacket real fur cause that’s not cool.”
Agreeing, another added: “@Harry_Styles you should watch a documentary or read an article about how fur is taken away from animals. Then I don’t think you would buy it.”
A third agreed: “I love Harry but him wearing a fur coat kinda made me mad. He looked cute but dead animals are on that coat, it’s just wrong.”
Others, were questioning whether the jacket described was the YSL version because the decision to wear that isn’t something Harry “would do”.
A loyal fan wrote: “I don’t believe Harry would actually wear fur. It just doesn’t seem like something he would do.”
Others said that while they were disappointed, he’s an “adult” and can “wear what he likes”.
Of course, there were Harry Styles supporters who thought the singer turned actor – his movie Dunkirk is to be released in 2017 – looked great in the number.
“Leave @Harry_Styles and coat alone. i think he looks good wearing it,” said one fan.
“All I want for Christmas is @Harry_Styles coat collection.”
It’s thought Kim Kardashian has also worn the same coat.
